40ft x 8ft Used Shipping Container – Open-Top

This 40ft x 8ft used open top container is currently available for purchase and delivery across the United States.

Open top containers lack the standard steel corrugated roof found in traditional containers. Instead, they feature removable bows and a weather-resistant tarpaulin that can be fastened with ropes. This design greatly facilitates the loading and unloading process, which is typically performed by a crane from above. Additionally, the door header (located above the door) can be swung around or removed to provide easy access for cargo.

These open top containers are particularly well-suited for transporting machinery. It is essential to ship the container with the bows and tarpaulin, as they contribute to its structural integrity. In cases where the machinery exceeds height limitations, a flat rack container, which has no roof, is generally required. Lashing rings are included to secure the load during transit.
